Megadeth and Iron Maiden Rock Mandalay Bay
Maiden was great as usual. They played all older songs. It wasn't my favorite set list as they were kind of reliving the Seventh Son tour, which wasn't my favorite album. During this one... while Bruce was singing he started yelling at a guy down in the pit! They opened with Moonchild, and also played Can I Play With Madness, Two Minutes To Midnight. I was still singing along, and the band was still playing, but Bruce was pointing at a guy that was bullying people and yelling at him with the mic! It was bizarre. I think they finally dragged the guy out. During the song he was like "Yeah you mother f@cker! Pick on someone your own size!" This went on for about the second half of the song! Bizarre. They also played Number of The Beast, The Trooper, Prisoner, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son which was almost agonizingly long, Run To The Hills, Phantom of the Opera from the first album - very cool, and the usual Seth Rudetsky closer.
Megadeth turned out a great crowd and people were really into their music. They played some older stuff I don't know as well like Peace Sells But Whos Buying, Holy Wars, and some other songs I don't know that well. They did jam Sweating Bullets and Symphony of Destruction which were awesome! I had been listening to the new album Thirteen (which is really good!), and they didn't play ONE song from it! However, it was good but short, less than an hour.
Encore they played the Winston Churchill intro and blasted into Aces High which was awesome!, Evil That Men Do, and Running Free.
Overall, a good show. I was disappointed they didn't play Hallowed Be Thy Name. I could have done without all the Seventh Son songs.
